As I mentioned previously, I was really itchin' to do something in red. There will be many more pieces in the future that will most likely wind up red also. In case you forgot, my FAVORITE color is (wait for it...) red.
So here is what the pair used to look like. Of course I already had the drawers removed before I took the picture, and it's mate is just out of view.
They're your typical Mexican style furniture that I had thrown some stain on some years ago. I removed the old stain and also took some time prepping and taping so they would look a bit more professionally re-vamped instead of seeing alot of overspray.
I don't take many "in between" pictures. I'm lucky if I remember the "before", but here's a little peak of how they looked right before their transformation.
I only put two coats of paint on these babies because I wanted to see some wood grain. Topped it off with some black glaze and....
Wah-la!
I was instantly in love with these tables. I don't want to leave out it's mate, so here's a picture of the other one..........
Cool huh? Of course I think so, I did it. So what do you think I did once I fell head over heels in love with these? Well, anybody who knows me well, knows EXACTLY what I did.
I made ANOTHER set of end tables RED! Yes, I really did. Believe it.
I just went back inside my house and went shopping again! It was easy.
Here is what they looked like (I know what you're thinking, but they really ARE different from the first set)
Since I already told you that I fell instantly in love with first pair, I just repeated all of the steps to get these little guys looking beautiful.
Here's the final product. Well, one of them.
And his partner.......
Do you feel the love?
