The Very Quirky Turquoise Coffee Table -- $185

Wait 'til you see what I did with this piece.  I've had friends come over and take one look at this coffee table and love it.  And there are those who hate it.  I know that someone out there will want this in their home.

I picked this up at, (you guessed it) my usual favorite thrift store, but wasn't quite sure how I wanted it to look.

Believe it or not, my inspiration came from my 10 year old son, Spencer, who said, "Why not make it turquoise and silver!"

I thought, that's actually not a bad idea.

Well, once I completed the wood top, I spray painted the iron base silver, just like Spence told me to do, and it was hideous!  I mean, HID- E- OUS.  Yuck.  (no offence, Spence.  You thought so too)

So here is how it wound up.

It's slightly distressed and has a topcoat of polyurathane for protection.  It's your standard coffee table height at 17" and measures 38" x 38".  It can be yours today for $ 185.
